New Preprint (March 2023)

In close collaboration with our colleagues from the Institute of Engineering and Computational Mechanics at the University of Stuttgart, we published a new preprint on "Improved a posteriori Error Bounds for Reduced port-Hamiltonian Systems" on arXiv. In this work, different error bounds for the error during model reduction are applied to port-Hamiltonian systems. This includes (a) the standard RB error estimator, (b) a hierarchical error bound and (c) an error bound based on an auxiliary linear problem. In a numerical experiment, the bounds are compared for a port-Hamiltonian formulation of a fluid-structure-interaction model of a classical guitar.
