Fabian Meyer successfully defended his thesis

Successful defence of the doctoral thesis of MSc. Fabian Meyer.

Fabian Meyer successfully defended his thesis "Quantification of Uncertainties in Compressible Flows" on December, 17, 2019. In his thesis he addresses the callenges connected to quantifications of uncertainties of hyperbolic transport focusing on the construction of structure-preserving algorithms, the usage of a-posteriori error estimates for non-statistical methods and the development of novel  multi-level Monte-Carlo algorithms as an instance of statistical quantification of uncertainty methods.

His dissertation project was financially supported by "SEAL" (Simulation der Entstehung und Ausbreitung von Lärm in Strömungen) of the Baden-Württemberg Foundation.
